Connecting with the local scene, the project united two communities for a day of curated experiences, hosted in our Circular+ spaces for a day-long event. Flowing comes from the collaboration between HOKA and CIAOMONDO, born from the desire to guide communities in exploring the boundary between city and nature.

Tune On Elements. / Ground Floor

To capture the essence of the event, we curated an interactive A/V installation highlighting how HOKA’s design and biomechanics echo nature’s flow, allowing guests to create digital artworks through their body movements. Lindenmayer systems, or l-systems, offer a mathematical framework that mirrors the organic patterns of plants, capturing the intricate rules of nature’s design. Just like l-systems model natural growth, HOKA enhances the body’s natural movement, creating a seamless bond between any mover or athlete and their environment.

Reclaim Nature.

During the workshop, 10 cultural connectors designed terrariums inspired by natural elements like plants and rocks. A paracord accessory, reflecting the design of HOKA’s Tor shoe, was added to each creation, symbolizing durability and outdoor performance. Led by Clinica Botanica, a studio known for its sustainable approach to botanical design, the workshop encouraged hands-on creativity while connecting participants with nature through simple yet thoughtful materials

Fly With The Flow.

The afternoon featured a 5k collective run led by HOKA coaches, fostering community through movement. Afterward, a yoga class inspired by the element of air took place outdoors in a park. Led by Dedica, yoga teacher and fitness professional, the class focused on light, flowing movements and breathwork, offering participants a moment of calm to balance the energy of the run.

As evening descended, the event transformed into a vibrant celebration featuring live performances from artists who resonated with the theme of flow and community. Attendees were treated to an engaging live performance by Spyna, who uniquely sampled sounds from plants, revealing their hidden communication
through ultrasonic clicks—sounds. The dynamic DJ sets from Elasi – a longtime friend of the brand – and Exit Exit complemented the lively atmosphere.

Tune On Elements. / Terrace

The evening’s musical performances were enhanced by vibrant audio-reactive wall projections inspired by the Flowing concept. These visuals, resembling particles arranged like a map of the world, symbolized a community connected by shared energy. They also tied in with the A/V installation, creating an engaging experience that combined sound and visuals. Together, these elements created a lively atmosphere that celebrated the bond between nature and human creativity, highlighting contemporary themes in art and ecology.

For the Flowing project, curated for HOKA and CIAOMONDO, we aimed to merge movement, design, and community engagement into a seamless experience. The event transitioned naturally from daytime activities like the Reclaim Nature workshop and Fly With The Flow—a collective run and yoga session—into the evening’s immersive design journey.

The evening featured Tune On Elements, an interactive A/V installation where we explored generative design and interactive technology. Live performances on the terrace, accompanied by sound-reactive projections, created a dynamic visual environment that heightened the performances and offered an engaging, immersive experience for the audience.

Building a network of cultural catalysts was key to energizing the evening’s segment. Through careful curation of the event’s progression—from day to night—we connected community, creativity, and nature in a cohesive way.

To visually unite the project, we designed a brand identity that bridged both HOKA and CIAOMONDO's aesthetics. Central to this was the custom Flowing lettering, with its fluid, curvilinear form capturing the essence of movement and natural flow. Initially hand-sketched to evoke warmth, the visual language evolved into structured, digital 3D node forms, symbolizing the project’s technological aspect. Eventually, the visuals dissolved into particles, embodying the dispersion of energy and fluidity across space and time.
